Comark
Rules for Successful Large Scale & Accelerated
Projects
Know
the Work Content: Its seems logical, but so often
in complex projects it seems as if many companies
and their subcontractors are not aware of all the
varying – and often changing – work
demands. For projects to be successful, it is absolutely
imperative that all parties – the customer,
the manufacturer, the subcontractors – are
aware of all elements of the work content and the
sequencing of each element. To ensure this takes
place, Comark’s LPM Approach puts an emphasis
on maintaining complete and accurate Statements
of Work for all involved parties.
Maintain a Focus on Pace: On large modular and
accelerated construction projects, it is all too
easy to lose focus on time savings in the complexities
of the project. Comark recognizes the importance
to our clients of having the building complex completed
on an accelerated deadline and Comark’s LPM
Approach focuses the company on schedule-driven
decision making to ensure that the advantages of
speed and timeliness are maximized throughout the
project.
Maximize Manufacturing: As a true modular manufacturer,
owning and operating its own plants, Comark has
first hand experience in the importance of maximizing
the manufacturing process to minimize time-to-completion.
Comark’s LPM Approach recognizes that regardless
of the skill and timeliness of the company’s
on-site construction crews, the greatest time and
value savings comes from manufacturing as much
of the building as possible in the plant.
Achieve Excellence in Site Management: Large projects
will always have a large on-site component no matter
how much manufacturing is maximized. Consequently,
the quality and focus of the on-site construction
teams are imperative to the success of the project.
The Comark Team has experienced internal and subcontractor
resources capable of meeting not only the project
schedule but the project standards of quality as
well.
Ensure All Parties Are Moving to the Same
Goal: Related to knowing the work content is ensuring
that all parties are on the same page. With the number
of constantly fluctuating elements involved in
the successful large building project, it is essential
that the large project team maintain accurate and
timely coordination of all information and design
and schedule adjustments.
