Manufacturing Capabilities
What sets Comark Building Systems, Inc. apart from all the other members of the modular industry is its ability to serve the nation with its three manufacturing plants and also to be able to deliver internationally. All modular projects will take place in one or two of the Comark modular construction facilities. These facilities include:
- A 72,000 SF facility located in DeSoto, Texas
Daily production capacity: 5,000 SF per production day
- A 135,000 SF facility located in Pembroke, North Carolina
Daily production capacity: 3,000 SF per production day
- A 80,000 SF facility located in Riverside, California
Daily production capacity: 6,000 SF per production day
Experience, Innovation & Focus on Quality
Steel: The Company has its own in-house steel shop. This enables us to have a higher degree of control over the carrier structure that forms the basis of the entire flooring system.
Assembly Line: Comark uses an advanced “sideways moving” assembly line as opposed to the more traditional “elephant trunk” assembly line used by most of the industry's manufacturers. This enables us to “marry up” separate modules in the plant during the manufacturing process, ensuring our modules fit seamlessly together at the work site. This minimizes any time delays while promoting a smooth installation. In addition, the system provides material flow from both sides of the line, increasing efficiency and throughput resulting in faster production times.
Materials: Despite the often “temporary” usage of modular buildings, Comark manufactures its buildings to have a minimum useful life of fifty years with minimal maintenance. In addition, the company enjoys best class purchasing contracts with our national suppliers enabling us to provide a greater value on building materials.
Sub-Jig Layouts: The production system uses sub-jig layouts to ensure consistency in the various elements (including wall systems) that comprise the completed building modules.
Testing Systems: The Company performs in-plant testing on all plumbing and electrical systems. Again, this ensures a smooth installation process while minimizing time delays on site.
Transportation: Comark has its own in-house transportation fleet of trucks. In addition, Comark maintains excellent relationships with two of the largest transportation companies for the modular construction industry. These two factors, combined with Comark’s work on numerous large scale projects, have given the company a depth of practical logistics management experience ensuring that the delivery and staging components of our projects flow smoothly.
